The international curriculum we follow enables our learners to be confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged. Students are provided with opportunities to explore real world problems and engage in activities that extend beyond the classroom.
Early Years Programme
Our goal in the pre-primary grades is to make learning engaging and interactive. Our teachers are trained in the Montessori approach, providing an environment where kids can explore and play while learning important skills. Along with Numeracy, Literacy, Environmental Awareness, we also introduce both Tamil and Hindi from the Junior KG Level. We believe that play is an important part of learning, so we mix structured activities with free playtime. Our goal is to make sure each child feels special and grows in their own way. We want kids to enjoy coming to school and love learning from the very beginning.

Primary
In our primary grades, we strive to provide a solid foundation for academic excellence in a safe and secure learning environment. We focus on a balanced mix of core subjects like English, Math, Science, and Global Perspectives. As of now, we follow a Second and Third Language policy and both Tamil and Hindi are offered as choices. Lessons are designed to be interactive, to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We integrate hands-on activities, technology, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and practical. Regular assessments – both formative and summative – ensure a thorough understanding of subjects, aligning with international standards. Our commitment is to provide holistic education, fostering curiosity and a love for learning within the structured framework of the International curriculum.

Extracurricular
Physical and Health Education, drawing, painting, music, movement, yoga and moral education form an integral part of the school curriculum. In addition, ample opportunities are given to the children to develop leadership qualities and grow into balanced personalities.
Assessments
At Prim Buds Garden School, assessment is an inherent and natural component of the educational process. The goal is to understand the capabilities of our students and empower them to reflect on their own learning
For kindergarten through fifth grade, the evaluation process is ongoing and formative.
Each formative assessment will include:
- Two Individual Activities (Recitation, experiments, debate, quiz, worksheets, research activity, etc.)
- One Group Activity (Projects, role plays, group discussion, surveys)
- Written Assessment (Question and answers, comprehension passages, short stories, essays, reports, etc)
Feedback on formative assessments will be communicated to parents during the Open House meeting scheduled every month. Parents are strongly urged to attend this without fail, to understand the progress of their wards.
Summative assessments will be conducted twice a year - one at the end of every term. This will be a regular pen-and-paper test, the portions for which will be communicated via email and through a hard copy of the document. After every summative exam, there will be a Parent-Teacher meeting, to provide personalised feedback and insights into individual progress.
These well-researched and varied approaches inform instruction, monitor progress, and support student growth, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes.
